How to Use

Step 1: Step 1: Preparing Your Glass Surface

Make sure your glass surface is clean. 

If there are stains or mineral build-up, we strongly advise restoring your glass so it looks as good as new. 

Use our Glassguard Restoration Stain Remover or our Glassguard Magic Glass Restoration Nano Sponge for heavy soiling. 

Once the glass is restored as best as possible, clean the glass using the Pre-Cleaner solution (alternatively use an alcohol-based cleaner). 

Dry the glass, and ensure it is free from any residue that might interfere with the Nanocoat treatment.

Step 2: Step 2: Nanocoat Application

Treat 1sqm to 3 sqm at a time. 

Spray the Nanocoat across the glass (you should only require 2 to 3 sprays for an area of this size). 

Using a dry, Glassguard Microfibre Cloth, spread the Nanocoat around the surface in circular motions, until it is completely dry. 

This step may take up to one minute. 

Once dry, treat the next section of glass and repeat the process until you complete treatment of the area in question.

Step 3: Step 3: Success!

Your nanocoat is now applied and you can see the water bead off your glass! You will now save up to 90% cleaning time for your glass surfaces!

To maintain the clean surface, just wipe it with a damp cloth every so often.

Our Glassguard Nanocoat DIY Kit is suitable for most glass showers, as it comes with a special “pre-cleaning solution” that you use before applying the Nanocoat layer to your glass, to protect it and to make cleaning it a breeze. However, for older or very stained/decayed glass, we recommend using our Glass Restoration Stain Remover.

Each kit comes with 125ml of our special nanocoat liquid. This should be enough to coat approximately 8 metres squared, or two full glass showers. If you need more nanocoat you can select a larger volume below the product price. 

No problem! Simply use some plain dishwashing liquid to remove the nanocoat before it sets. The process itself is very simple and if you do apply it incorrectly and the product sets, it is so thin that you can just apply it again.

Each kit comes with 125ml of our nanocoat solution which should be more than enough for a few applications.
